So please let us know if you would like us to adjust the spices in your food to suit your palette. For example we can make your meal a little hotter, milder or add some extra aromatic spices or other ingredients. We even have special children’s meals.
Nepalese Dining
Everyday Nepali food is very healthy, nourishing, practical and very tasty. However, during many festivals foods can contain an elaborate assortment of gourmet delights. The typical daily food for most Nepalese consists of “Dal Bhat” which includes rice (Bhat), lentil soup (dal), vegetables in curry (Tarkari), with meat (Masu) and a small amount of pickle/ sauce (Achar). Roti (flat bread), curried vegetables and meat dishes are also favourites.
Nepalese food reflects the ethnic diversity of the country as many ethnic groups have their own food specialties. Mamas brings together everyday and festival foods into a delicious smorgasboard of flavours. For more information on Nepalese food visit: http://www.food-nepal.com/feat/food_guide.htm
